SAVETCON is the in-house event company of the South African Veterinary Association and has been organising, coordinating and managing congresses, symposiums, exhibitions and events since 2004. The unique selling point and success of SAVETCON as a full-service event and conference management team is based on the fact that as part of the South African Veterinary Association all involved are familiar with all the role players and specialised field within the veterinary fraternity and unique association business. We are a personable team with strong leadership and are fully accountable to every detail that we commit to. Our extensive experience has given us a strong network base which allows us to leverage the very best options for our clients. We strongly believe in communication excellence and aim to make each event that we manage not only a resounding success, but thoroughly memorable. We serve our clients with sincere loyalty and design your conference with a personal touch. SAVETCON is also a longstanding member of the Southern African Association for the Conference Industry (SAACI) and subscribes to the SAACI Code of Conduct.

Corné Engelbrecht, CMP
As SAVETCON’s Managing Director, Corné has over 20 years’ experience as an event organiser. Corné has marketing, PR and brand management qualifications and has obtained her international Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification in 2016 – one of only 15 in South Africa.  This is a credential that is recognized globally as the badge of excellence in the meeting, convention, exhibition, and event industry.

In 2016 she was acknowledged as one of the Top 20 women in the Event Planners category for dedicated and valuable contribution to the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibition) industry at the third annual Women in MICE awards, hosted by Meetings magazine and ThePlanner.guru. In 2017, she was a recipient of the SPIN: Senior Professionals Industry Network, newly created recognition for veteran meeting planners—SPIN: 40 Over 40 award. This new initiative was designed to recognize and honour planners who are industry role models, influencers, innovators and pioneers.

Erna Klopper
Erna has been with SAVETCON for more than 10 years. She is our Office Manager, responsible for client liaison and enquiries, all registrations, financial administration, travel and accommodation managements and general office administration.

Claudia Cloete
Claudia is our Sponsorship and Marketing Manager responsible for all aspects concerning sponsorship and exhibition planning and management. She comes with a wealth of experience in the industry and has raised over a million rand in sponsorships for SAVA CVC and SAVETCON events over the last two years.
